The perfect knowledge of their numerous vineyard plots, the craftsmanship passed down through previous generations, and the care for perfection are the secrets of the high quality and consistency of Champagnes Pierre Gimonnet.

In the beginning, the Gimonnets were grape growers in Cuis and supplied their harvests to the Champagne trade. They are 'farmers and winemakers', and their ancestors made a little wine, probably for their own consumption. The first known labels with the name Henri GIMONNET can be found in the early 20th century.

Today, they still have that farming spirit and are convinced that owning your own vineyard is the condition for better control over the development of your wines. “We are winemakers who know all our plots, if not every vine, and their ability to produce a certain typicity. The perfect knowledge of our numerous vineyard plots, our craftsmanship passed down through previous generations, our care for perfection, and our continuous adaptation to climate change are the secrets of the consistency of the wines of the House of Pierre Gimonnet for decades.”

Pierre Gimonnet is the only winemaker in Champagne that has been keeping all their reserve wines in bottles since 1982.

Today, the House is still a family business and is co-led by Olivier and Didier Gimonnet, two of the four children of Michel Gimonnet and Françoise Gimonnet Larmandier.
